"Office 2016 or greater is required for this release" or when installing or upgrading to CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager on a machine that has Microsoft® Office 2016 or higher already installed.
This issue may be caused by the presence of, or one or more components from, an unsupported version of Microsoft Office or multiple versions of Microsoft Office installed.
If the above information does not apply, this error can also be caused by a problem with the existing installation of Microsoft Office. Please follow these steps:

- Microsoft® Office App Store Version (Shows up on start menu and in Microsoft Store as installed, but not in Programs and Features.)
You will need to follow these steps before proceeding with the installation or upgrade of Engagement or Workpaper Manager:
- Uninstall all unsupported Office-related items found in Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features or any additional Microsoft Offices.
- Repair/Install the supported version of Office.
If the above information does not apply, this error can also be caused by a problem with the existing installation of Microsoft Office. Please follow these steps:
- Run an online repair of Office from Control Panel > Programs & Features.
- To perform an online repair for Microsoft Office:
- Open the Control Panel or Office installation settings.
- Look for the 'Repair' or 'Online Repair' option for Office.
- Run the repair tool, which will attempt to fix any corrupted or problematic Office application files.
- If the first repair attempt fails, try running the repair again or use alternative methods to access the repair tool.
- To perform an online repair for Microsoft Office:
- Proceed with the install/upgrade/update of Engagement or Workpaper Manager.

Also, if the above does not work, try the steps from Excel is pointing epace incorrectly to "Library\Epace.xla" in CCH® ProSystem fx® Engagement or Workpaper Manager.
