The message "A pending reboot has been detected" indicates that there are updates pending on the machine and a reboot is required prior to any additional updates being performed on the workstation. To resolve the issue simply reboot the workstation and reattempt the install after the reboot has completed.
If the message persists, perform the following steps to delete the "PendingFileRenameOperations" registry key:

- Press Windows key+R to open the Run window.
- Type regedit.exe on the Open: line and press Enter.
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager in the registry.
- In the left navigation pane, right-click the Session Manager key and select Export.
- Name the export Backup1 and click Save.
- This file can be deleted later.
- In the right navigation pane, right-click the PendingFileRenameOperations value and select Delete.
- Close the Registry Editor.
