Issue:
- My new profile picture is not updating in Teams or Outlook
Resolution:
- It may take 24-48 hours for the changes to reflect
- Try signing out of Teams/Outlook and then signing back in
- For multiple Microsoft work accounts, you can update your profile picture through the Office 365 admin center:
- Go to the 'Users' section
- Select your account
- Upload a new photo
- Note that updates may take time to propagate across all linked accounts
- If the problem persists, clearing the cache can help:
- If Teams is still open, right-click the Teams icon on the taskbar, and select Quit.
- Press the Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog box
- In the Run dialog box, enter the following path and click OK:
-
%userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
-
- Delete all files and folders in the directory
- Restart Teams
- For persistent profile errors, you may also try:
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the Teams application
- Checking your login credentials
- Ensuring you have the latest version of the application
- If issues continue, contact your IT support team for assistance
