What is Joan
Joan is a digital conference room sign that lets you know if a room is vacant or occupied. It also tells you which meeting just started and when the meeting room is available again.
How Joan works
Joan works in tandem with digital calendars. Any meeting room booked through your calendar will show up on Joan and vice versa.
Booking a room
Booking rooms with Joan is as easy as tapping a button. The “Meet now” function on the device reserves a room directly at the door and updates your online calendar as well. You can also book in advance by tapping “Meet later” and selecting a time slot.
Checking in
When a room is booked in advance Joan will give you the option to check in or cancel the meeting. If no-one checks into a scheduled meeting, Joan will automatically cancel it. This will help us unclutter the room’s schedule and make better use of our spaces.
Tips and tricks
A good practice to take up as soon as possible is letting Joan know a meeting has ended. As you leave the room press the “X” next to your meeting’s name to finish it. This way the room is marked free (even if you still had time left) and can be used by others.
